SBus Expansion Chassis easily expands your SPARC workstation into newapplications, such as multiheaded graphics, multiterminal servers, imageprocessing, and digital signal processing.The intelligent, zero footprint external chassis extends the SBus intosix master/slave SBus slots -- all via a single-slot adapter plugged intothe host system. The SEC150 performs both master and slave direct memoryaccess (DMA) functions. Boards in master slots conduct DMA transfer atthe same transfer rate as the system SBus. Three SEC150's can be added toa single workstation, for up to 18 SBus slots.Users can utilize the SEC150 for SCSI bus expansion. It can also beupgraded with peripherals such as a floppy drive, a tape drive, a CD ROMdrive, or fixed and removable hard drives.
